About the Event
In celebration of Pride Month, Point of View and First Contact are coming together to host an event that encourages the archiving of queer knowledge, by queer people. Wikipedia is one of the most visited websites in the world, and it's a go-to source for information on countless topics. However, many important subjects, especially those related to LGBTQIA+ issues and history, are underrepresented or incomplete. By editing Wikipedia, we can help ensure that the stories and contributions of LGBTQIA+ individuals live on in their true form. Plus, editing Wikipedia is easy, fun, and a great way to learn more about topics you're passionate about!
