What is "CACTUS"?

"CACTUS" is FC’s safe word—a simple, accountable way to communicate boundaries without explanations. It’s not a bad word but a tool to ensure everyone feels safe.

By actively using "CACTUS" in uncomfortable situations, it creates an objective way to address boundary violations. Without it, misunderstandings can arise—like one person saying, “I was telling you to stop,” and the other responding, “I didn’t know you meant it that seriously.” "CACTUS" removes this ambiguity.

How does it work?

When to say "CACTUS": Use it when a topic or behavior crosses your boundaries and you need it to stop immediately.

What to do when someone says "CACTUS" to you:

• Stop the conversation or behavior right away.

• Change the topic or step back.

• Respect their boundaries without questioning or pushing further.

Consequences for violations:

• First violation: Warning

• Violation after that: Removal from FC

While the Metaverse follows these timings, our app and website are available 24/7 for you to connect meaningfully—both personally and professionally.

TUH (pronounced like "tuh", rhyming with "duh") stands for Themed Unwind Hours - your daily evening retreat in the FC Virtual World, running Wednesday through Sunday from 9-11 PM. Think of it as your favorite coffee shop or living room where you can drop by to relax and connect with others who share your interests - it's not an event, it's just part of our everyday life.

Each TUH brings a different theme in a month - you might find folx doodling together one night, finance enthusiasts exchanging raw insights another, or gamers teaming up for Draw Battle. As tiny little avatars, you put relevant keywords in your name during the themed hours and walk around and freely talk to others with similar tastes as you. The best part? You don't need anyone's permission to start something - see someone with keywords you are interested in? Just walk with your tiny legs up to them and say Hi!

What makes TUH special?

• Drop in anytime - 9-11 PM is just a rough window, the fun starts when you arrive and ends when you're done

• Start from the starting point and then move around on the basis of your interests within the theme

• Talk 1on1 or in smaller groups naturally because let's be honest, large groups feel like a class and we're not in FC metaverse to do the same boring sheez as Google Meet/zoom calls. While both FC Metaverse and Google Meet can be used on a laptop/phone, you can't walk, talk, dance, pet a dog, water plants, drive, and more in Google Meets like you can in FCverse

• It's time for unwinding at the end of the day, so no pressure - just genuine connections, conversations, and good times

• Different themes every day, new calendar each month

• Community-driven experience - Anyone can take the lead and shape the night; team members are there to just assist

Just like stopping by your local Hangout space becomes part of your daily routine, TUH naturally weaves into our lifestyle, allowing us to have a good time and also grow in so many ways. It's where FC members naturally find their tribes and discover new things about their friends, building and watering connections that continue long after the themed hours end. These connections flourish in various ways - hanging out, coworking, costudying, or even just co-existing in silence together in FCverse, conversing in DMs or Forum Chat in App or Website, or meeting out there in the real world.
