Join us for an eye-opening session led by Tara Arya (She/Her),), a proud TransWoman, Queer and Disabled Woman with multiple disabilities, and Nitya Gupta (She/Her), a DEI expert, as we dive into the realities disabled people face — from harmful stereotypes to systemic struggles and hardships.
We’ll explore the social model of disability and why building equitable, not just equal, systems is essential for true inclusion.
The session will also shine a light on the intersections of disability and queerness, and unpack the differences between visible and invisible disabilities — experiences often misunderstood or overlooked.
