Hey there,
Let me share a story that hits close to home. As a queer person, I found myself in a living situation with a friend who also identified as transgender. We'll call them, or as they preferred, Nikie. At first, I was optimistic about our arrangement. We agreed to split the rent, make our space cozy, and have a good time together. But little did I know, things would take a painful turn.
It all started innocently enough, with a conversation about having friends over. I mentioned that I might have some buddies come by from time to time, and they seemed fine with it. We even discussed where they could stay, so I assumed everything was settled. However, it wasn't long before things took a darker turn.
One day, they became intoxicated and aggressive when one of my friends…
