This is my first poem that I wrote just now.
Forever One Sided
In a house too big, where I felt so small,
A creaking cot, no warmth at all.
Far from my mother, I’d cry at night,
Until he appeared, my sudden light.
A boy in blue, with a crooked smile,
The sight of him made life worthwhile.
He'd cross my world in simple ways,
And brighten all my darkest days.
I watched him grow, his style, his grace,
I saw him change in every way.
One careless touch, a fleeting hand,
Felt like magic I couldn’t withstand.
I told him once, my heart’s old song,
He couldn’t return it, but I stayed strong.
For love forgives, and mine was true,
No one could shine the way he’d do.
Through cycles, tuitions, moments near,
I held his presence, year by year.
Though others came, they couldn’t stay,
My first love never went away.
He carried my father when death had come,
A weight of sorrow no words could numb.
He stood beside us in that despair,
A rare kind of love, beyond compare.
Though years may pass and worlds divide,
My heart still beats where he resides.
For from the start, I can’t let go—
Forever one sided, yet all I know.
